Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Tuesday appointed Mr Olufolarin Ogunsanwo as the Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).
This is contained in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Habib Aruna.
It said new officials were expected to assume duties immediately and work toward implementing the vision of the new administration.
Ogunsanwo’s appointment was confirmed by the Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday at the behest of the governor.

He replaces Mr Babatunde Fowler, who has since assumed duties as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

The governor had earlier approved the appointments of new directors for the board.
