    1. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has rescheduled, for July 9, arraignment of one Sunday Agbo charged with  impersonation on Facebook.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court,  Lagos, approved  the date  following absence of Agbo in court on Wednesday for arraignment.

EFCC charged Agbo on a count of cybercrime.

On Wednesday,  there was no appearance for  defence but Mrs Hanatu Umar announced appearance for EFCC.

Umar  prayed the court for another date for Agbo’s arraignment.

EFCC alleged that Agbo  committed the offence sometime in August 2023 at Lekki,  Lagos State.

The commission said that Agbo impersonated one Dr Josephine Wilson, a female American citizen, on his Facebook account.

EFCC  alleged that Agbo impersonated Wilson with intent to gain advantage for himself and deceive unsuspecting citizens, in contravention of Section 22(2) of the Cyber Crimes Prohibition Act of 2015
