Akpabio goes to the Senate

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has been announced as the winner of Saturday’s National Assembly elections in Akwa Ibom North West District.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Sunday, announced the governor as the winner with 422,009 of the 439,449 total votes cast.
He defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Chief Inibehe Okorie, who scored 15,152.
