Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has assured investors of adequate security in the state.
He gave the assurance at the inauguration of Victory Crystal Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Victory Group, in Akure on Thursday.
Akeredolu, represented by his deputy, Mr Agboola Ajayi,  said the government was striving hard to turn the state around from a civil service-driven economy.
The governor said attracting  more investors into  the state would boost  Internally Generated Revenue.
He said part of the government’s intervention was wooing Air Peace to facilitate movement of investors to and from the state from Lagos and Abuja.
“Part of our government’s plan is to make the state the hub of investors. We are ready to support and finance investments that will benefit our people.
“We have many Ondo State indigenes that are ready to come back home and invest in the state,’’ he said.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer  of the company, Mr Sola Olatunji, said his company would establish a medical laboratory company in the state.
Olatunji said the achievement of the state government within the short time in office had  been impressive.
” Our mission is to join force with government to transform the economy of the state by providing technical assistance to the state government,” he said.
Olatunji, however,  urged the state government to curb the menace of kidnapping, robbery and other vices that often discourages investors.
