Two-term member of the House of Representatives for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Hon. Jaiyeola Ajatta, has thrown his weight behind the aspiration of frontline aspirant Kehinde Bamigbetan.
Hon. Ajatta, who made the declaration during a courtesy call by Bamigbetan promised to mobilise party members in Ajao Estate and the entire constituency to vote Bamigbetan at the forthcoming primaries, adding that Bamigbetan deserved the position because he has paid his dues in the party and the community.
He recalled the programmes of free uniforms for children in primary schools, new primary schools and health centres implemented by Bamigbetan when he was the chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area.
“ You opened up the community. Your human development, fiscal reforms and infrastructural programmes transformed Ejigbo LCDA. You have a passion for community development that will make you an asset at the National Assembly.” Hon. Ajatta said.
The former banker and seasoned auditor thanked Bamigbetan for working and partnering with him during his two terms at the Federal House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011.
He recalled how the collaboration between his office and the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area led to the establishment of the Prmary Health Care centres at Morning Star and Elemu in Ejigbo LCDA by the National Primary Health Care Agency under his constituency project scheme.
“ You showed leadership by procuring three landed sites for the three primary health care centres through outright purchase by the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area. Without those sites, it would have been difficult to construct and equip two out of the three proposed health sites. My efforts and the effort of Senator Ganiyu Solomon would not have yielded fruits”. Hon Ajatta said.
Ajatta thanked Bamigbetan for standing by him during his campaign to win the party’s ticket for the governorship of Ondo State.
“You did not mind the distance. You were in Ondo State, travelling with me to solicit for votes. This is the time to show my appreciation for your contributions to my political career”, Ajatta said.
