The 2026 Set of final-year students of Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School (Senior) graduated yesterday in a ceremony marked by goodwill messages, gift presentations, and rich cultural displays.
At the valedictory service and induction held at the AGGS Hall, Onikolobo, the Principal, Mrs. Mosunmola Ozoje, urged the graduands to be diligent, humble, and uphold integrity as they pursue their life goals.
“As you step forward, let diligence, humility, and integrity guide you. Avoid shortcuts. Let excellence mark your work and kindness shape your relationships,” she said.
“There will be setbacks, but do not be discouraged. Use every challenge to grow. Keep learning, stay adaptable, and pursue your dreams with courage.”
Mrs. Ozoje thanked parents and guardians for their sacrifices, prayers, and support, and also appreciated the teachers and staff for their dedication.
“You have taught, mentored, and shaped these lives. We appreciate you,” she added.
She further charged the graduates, who were formally inducted into the school’s alumni body — the Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School Old Girls Association (AGGSOGA) — to be worthy ambassadors.
“Graduates, uphold the name of this school with dignity wherever you find yourselves. With today’s induction, you officially join our alumni family. Stay connected, support future students, and let the values of this school guide you.”

Welcoming the Class of 2026 into the AGGSOGA fold, the Global President, Engr. Olusolape Ajibola, who was represented by Aggsog Kemi Kalejaye – Global Welfare Officer, said their years at AGGS had prepared them for a world of endless possibilities and challenges.
In her Yearbook Address themed “Embracing the Future, Anchored in AGGSOGA Heritage”, Ajibola wrote:
“To the Phenomenal Class of 2026,
It is with immense pride, joy, and a deep sense of nostalgia that I bring you this goodwill message on behalf of the global family of the Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School Old Girls Association.
“Today, you stand at the threshold of a significant transition.
The hallways of AGGS, Abeokuta, which have echoed with your laughter, academic triumphs, and dreams over the years, are now ushering you into the world.
“You have survived rigorous academic schedules, grown in character, and forged lifelong sisterly bonds, just as we did many years before you. For this, I salute your resilience and determination.
“As you step out, remember that the uniform you lay down is not just fabric. It is a symbol of a rich legacy of excellence, integrity, and female empowerment that has defined our noble alma mater for generations.
“Wherever you find yourselves across the globe, let the values of discipline and the fear of God instilled in you here remain your anchor.
And always remember: you are not second to anyone — not even to your male counterparts. You are first human, then ladies, and ultimately equal to any challenge.
“You are not leaving AGGS behind. You are taking its spirit with you — the spirit of _’WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.’_
Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Determination is the key to success. If you can conceive it in your mind and trust God for it, you can achieve it.
“As the Class of 2026, you represent our bright future. Step out boldly, conquer new frontiers, and never forget that you have a powerful global network of ‘old girls’ standing right behind you, ready to support, mentor, and welcome you home.
“Congratulations, our newest sisters! The world is waiting for your light to shine forth.”

AGGSOGA presented cash gifts to the best students in English and Mathematics:
*English Language
1st: Sodeke Ayomide – ₦25,000
2nd: Tella Jesutofunmi – ₦20,000
3rd: Dada Boluwatife – ₦15,000
*Mathematics
1st: Sodeke Ayomide – ₦25,000
2nd: Adebayo Imoleayo – ₦20,000
3rd: Tella Jesutofunmi – ₦15,000
*Lawal Fathia emerged the best graduating student.
Outstanding English and Mathematics graduating students in AGGS private school also received cash gifts from AGGSOGA.
Other AGGSOGA representatives at the event included Aggsog Grace Majoyegbe, Assistant Global General Secretary; and Aggsog Joy Oji, Global Treasurer, among others.
