Nigerian Afrobeats superstars Davido, Tems and Wizkid delivered headline performances at the 2026 edition of AfroPlus Fest, attracting music lovers from across the African diaspora.
The three-day festival concluded on Sunday at the Northwest Stadium complex in Maryland, United States.

AfroPlus Fest ran from Friday to Sunday and featured performances across several genres, including: Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Hip-hop
The AfroPlus Fest festival brought together musicians from Africa, the Caribbean and the United States.
According to the official festival lineup, Davido opened the event on Friday, Tems performed on Saturday, while Wizkid closed the festival on Sunday.
Wizkid Marks 15 Years in Music
Wizkid’s closing performance carried special significance as the singer celebrated 15 years since the beginning of his professional music career.
The award-winning artiste performed some of his biggest songs as fans gathered for the final night of the festival.
His appearance highlighted the continued global influence of Nigerian Afrobeats.
Star-Studded International Lineup
Beyond the three Nigerian headliners, the festival featured performances from several leading African artistes.
The lineup included: Ayra Starr, Olamide, Adekunle Gold, Sarkodie, Odeal, Victony
American performers included: Lil Baby, Latto, Sexyy Red, Chief Keef
Jamaican dancehall artiste Alkaline was also part of the announced lineup.

Organisers expanded AfroPlus Fest beyond musical performances by creating a broader cultural experience.
The festival featured: African food vendors, merchandise stands, cultural marketplaces, art installations, brand showcases, wellness activities
The event aimed to showcase the diversity and creativity of Black communities worldwide.
AfroPlus Fest Expands in Second Edition
AfroPlus Fest began in 2025 as a one-day event at the RFK Festival Grounds.
The inaugural festival attracted about 20,000 attendees and sold out, according to organisers.
For its 2026 edition, the festival moved to Maryland and expanded into a three-day celebration during the US Labour Day weekend.
Afrobeats Strengthens Global Influence
The success of AfroPlus Fest reflects the growing international popularity of Afrobeats and African popular culture.
Nigerian artistes have increasingly become major performers at global festivals, collaborating with international musicians and attracting audiences beyond Africa.
