BUA Group Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged cash rewards to Nigeria’s Super Eagles after their 2-0 victory over Algeria in the AFCON 2025 quarter-final.

Rabiu announced the pledge on Saturday via his X handle, congratulating the players for their impressive performance and national pride.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles on a brilliant victory. You lifted the nation’s spirit and showed the true Nigerian fighting spirit,” Rabiu said.

He promised a $500,000 reward for winning the semi-final, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.

Rabiu added that victory in the final would attract $1 million, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the championship match.

“Our players have shown discipline, courage and unity. Nigerians are proud of you, and we stand firmly behind the team,” he said.

The BUA chairman urged the Eagles to remain focused, saying their success inspires millions of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

“Go out there, play with heart and confidence. You carry the hopes of over 200 million Nigerians,” Rabiu said.

Nigeria booked a semi-final spot after defeating Algeria 2-0 at the Stade de Marrakech on Saturday.

The Super Eagles will face host nation Morocco in the semi-final on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
