34 injured as roof collapses during wedding party

A total of 34 persons were injured as the roof of a house collapsed during a wedding party in eastern Afghanistan’s Kunar province on Monday.
Abdul Mabin Maftoon, the head of National Disaster Management Authority in the province said in a statement on Tuesday.
A wedding party was underway in Chapa Dara district when the roof of a house caved in, leaving 34 persons including men, women and children injured, the statement said.
All the injured persons have been transported to a hospital in the provincial capital, Asadabad.
