All roads lead to Ibadan, venue of the scheduled ANTP 2nd Annual National Conference, themed ‘GNOSIS AND EPIPHANY ‘
The Dr Rasak Oyadiran-led administration of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) initiated the impactful annual conference last year.
This year, His Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Yemi Farounbi is expected to deliver a keynote address titled “ANTP: Then, Now and Years To Come”
The ANTP, will, for the second time in the tenure of this administration bring together professional eggheads to impact the needed knowledge on the make-believe industry players.
The much publicised Conference is expected to hold on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the BCOS NUJ Hall, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan.
It aims to unite industry professionals, researchers, and theatre enthusiasts to exchange ideas, showcase innovative works, and discuss the future trajectory of Nigerian theatre and film.
Other distinguished speakers lined up for the event include Ambassador (Prof.) A.B.S. Akande, CILG (USA), who will deliver a keynote address on “Financial Budgeting and Cost-Effective Productions”; Alhaji Dr. Afeez Oyetoro (Simply Saka), who will share insights on “Essential Acting Skills on Stage and Screen”; and Are Akogun Mike Tai Arogunmatidi, who will discuss “Challenges and Remedies on Cinematography at Film Locations.”
According to Dr. Rasak Oyadiran, the conference will provide a platform for cross-pollination of ideas, practical knowledge and moments of epiphany for practitioners, from budding artists to established professionals.
The conference will also feature networking sessions, opportunities to engage with pioneers and future leaders of Nigerian theatre and film, and is open to all theatre arts practitioners, academics, students, and members of the press.
