Afenifere Leader, Chief Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, has endorsed the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The 99-year-old statesman also endorsed the return to office of all National Assembly members from the South-West.
In a letter dated May 10, 2025 and addressed to Tinubu, the nonagenarian Asiwaju Yoruba said: “we have got your back, as always. I extend similar gratitude to members of the National Assembly from the South-West, across all party lines who have chosen to cooperate with you in your efforts at repositioning Nigeria”.
The two-page letter reads:

Your Excellency
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Omo Yoruba Àtàtà,

LETTER OF COMMENDATION

Fasoranti

I feel very proud and happy to address you as Omo Yoruba Àtàtà, an illustrious son
of Yoruba heritage and your striking efforts in exporting the values of enterprise for which our forebears are raised to the National psyche.
I am immensely grateful that the Afenifere trusts in you were never misplaced, you
have made us proud in the reordering of the nation’s economy, though this seems
to come at some painful costs, but understandably a necessity for a nation
undergoing a rebirth.
We observed your quiet revolution in steering our country to the trajectory where we started from, and which we strongly believe is the path to thread towards irreversible development, the quest for national identity and uninterrupted growth, especially with the establishment of Regional economic development building
blocs including the South West Development Commission.
Fasoranti and Tinubu

Yoruba land will never forget you in your silently restructuring of our political economy, and rest assured we have got your back, as always.
I extend similar gratitude to members of the National Assembly from the South
West, across all party lines who have chosen to cooperate with you in your efforts at repositioning Nigeria and I wish you can jointly navigate the troubled waters of the Nigerian politics till you reach the finish lines together in the race for the political emancipation of our fatherland. I will appreciate, immensely too, wherever you can do in this regard, to ensure continuity of all of them so that as you started together, you can also take the race to the end together.
This is my humble request and prayer.
I have no doubt in my mind that your goodness and openness in leadership which
has worked for over the years will continue to stand, with and for you against all
adversities, believing that younger Yoruba sons and daughters should also be able
to learn this from you.
Fasoranti

Bola, o’ò ní té l’ójú omo aráyé, ìkó kíí kó bálá, Omo aráyé kò ní rí ìdí re.
The last time you visited, we spoke, and that was a discussion between father and son; between brothers of common heritage, and I am happy that you have kept faith with us and Nigerians for whom you swore an Oath to serve.
Odua a gbe wa o.
