2024 Ballon d’Or: Messi, Ronaldo missing as Ademola Lookman, Haaland, Vinicius Jr, Mbappe, Saka, others make list

For the first time in 21 years, names of football giants, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, have been left off the shortlist for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Messi won the prize in 2023 but will not win a record-extending ninth Ballon d’Or this year.
Also Ronaldo, who won the award five times, is not on the list.
Ademola Lookman from Nigeria was nominated by the organisers. Also Erling Haaland, Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappé, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham, among others, make the final list of nominees.
