Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto State has declared that the tension in the country, bordering on the 2015 elections, may consume Nigeria.

He stated that instead of proposing a developmental agenda for youths, the leaders of tomorrow, Nigeria’s future is being toyed with by desperate politicians.

The two-term governor spoke at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2013 Annual Management Conference with the theme “The relevance of NYSC to National Development: Achievements, Challenges, Prospects and the way forward”.

Venue was the Giginya Coral Hotel, Sokoto.

He said: “Much have always been said about the so-called 2015 elections and nothing has been done in the area of youth development. There is every need for all the energies being pumped into the year 2015 issue to be channeled towards the upliftment, development and upgrading of youths in the country so that this country can move forward”.
