The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee LPPC rose from its meeting yesterday to announce the approval of appointment of 17 new legal practitioners and an academic as Senior Advocates of Nigeria for the year 2013.
Addressing a press conference in his office, Secretary/Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sunday Olorundahunsi named the prospective Senior Advocates as; Adele Eberechi, Olumide Sofowora, Olufunke Aboyade (Mrs), Uko Udom, Anthony Ani, Godwin Obla, Suraj Sa’eda, Anthony Anaenugwu, Joe Abrahams, Akinlolu Kehinde, Prof Lawrence Atsegbua, Biriyai Dambo, Chukwuma Machukwu Ume, Olalekan Yusuf, Moyosore Onigbanjo, Aliyu Abdullahi and Victoria Awomolo.
The Chief Registrar disclosed that the new SANs met all d requirements during their interview and therefore had no issues before the committee.
According to Olorudahunsi, the date for the swearing in of the new Senior Advocate would be announced later.
The successful legal practitioners were among the 44 earlier invited by the LPPC for interview for the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN.
