No fewer than 15 European club sides are interested in signing the 2016 Championship of African Nations Cup revelation, Chisom Chikatara of Abia Warriors.
The goal merchant saved the Super Eagles of Nigeria from what could have been a disappointing result in their first CHAN game against Niger Republic in Kagali after scoring his first international hat-trick as a super sub within the space of 32 minutes.
Nigeria defeated Niger 4-1
A reliable and trusted source close to Abia Warriors and the player in question said that 15 clubs in Europe and top North African clubs are interested in pricing the goal poacher away from the Umuahia-based club.
“Chikatara has become a scarce commodity for clubs in Europe and North Africa. As I speak to you my brother, 15 European clubs and top North African club sides have already contacted us asking for Chisom’s signature,” the elated club official revealed .
When asked about the names of these clubs, the club official refused to disclose their names.
“I can’t tell you the names of the clubs for now but all I can tell you is that Chikatara is wanted by 15 clubs in Europe and top North African clubs.”
The Kolanut boy has scored four goals in two games in the ongoing 2016 CHAN tournament taking place in Kagali, Rwanda.
