The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, has advised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West state to accept its inability to present candidates for the general elections as an “Act of Allah”.
Speaking to journalists in Gusau on Monday, Matawalle advised the ruling APC in the state not to trouble itself over the situation.
“Let the APC followers in the state know that whatever is happening to the party is the will of Allah and no one has the power to change this.
“As a Muslim, I expect them to lie low and be prayerful for the coming elections to be peaceful in the state and the rest of the country,” he said.
Matawalle said the PDP, would, therefore, take advantage of the absence of the APC  National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly candidates at the polls to win the election.
He urged PDP supporters in the state to be law abiding throughout the election period.
He also commended how PDP supporters trooped out to receive the party’s presidential candidate in the state.
The APC in the state is currently awaiting court’s decision on whether or not it would present candidates at the general elections from governorship to national and state assembly positions.
