Youth Council congratulates Lai Mohammed on successful Ramadan Lecture, scores him high on performance

The Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), North-Central Zone, has congratulated the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, over the successful organisation of his annual Ramadan Lecture at his country home in Oro, Kwara State.
The Lecture programme, which has become a usual highlight for the people of Oro Kingdom, and attracts dignitaries from all over Nigeria, serves as a rich source of spiritual upliftment during the holy month and beyond.
Speaking at the venue of the Programme, the Vice President North Central of the Council, Ambassador Mukhtar Akoshile, said: “The Leadership of the Council would also like to laud the Honourable Minister over his exceptional stewardship of the Ministry of Information, in ensuring that Nigerians are served with the fact of government’s achievements in the last four years. Indeed, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has shown himself to be a man of honour and integrity, espousing the values that the Muhammadu Buhari administration represents. More importantly, Alhaji Lai has not allowed the perks of Abuja and dining and wining with the high and mighty keep him from associating with his people.

“Generations yet unborn will benefit from his bold efforts in repairing the battered image our country had come to be associated with, in the international community, over the last couple of years because you have never been seen handling issues on personal interest rather for the large Interest of the Country and her citizens.
“His efforts to ensure that government’s position is clearly communicated has contributed, in no small measure, towards ensuring that President Muhammadu Buhari’s popularity doesn’t wane in the least, despite the fact that the government has had to embark on some very painful policy decisions to heal our nation of her past ills.
“We pray Almighty Allah continues to strengthen Alhaji Lai Mohammed to continue to continue towards national development and serving as a mentor the teeming youth who have been starved of proper role models in the past.
“We assure the president that the Young Nigerian in the North Central Zone of the Country will continue to support his policies and programmes over the course of his second term in office, which we believe, will unleash a much stronger edifice on the foundation that has been laid during the first term and find the Information Minister worthy of a more challenging position in the cabinet”.
