*Chartered flights leave Lagos for Rwanda to support Eagles
The Manager of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has remarked that the Nigerian team is good enough to clinch the three points against the Amavubis of Rwanda today in Kigali.
Rwanda will host Nigeria in a Group C tie of the African World Cup qualifying series. The host so far seven points while the Super Eagles have only three points from the four matches played so far.
Chelle said: “We are aware of the task ahead and the players are all ready to get the results for Nigeria. Within the short time we had in training, I can say that we are good enough to get the results in this match.
“It is a case of taking one match at a time. We want to get the three points and move on to face the next game. All the players are aware of the importance of the encounter and we are going all out for the maximum points. Rwanda have a very compact team but we sure have what it takes to edge them in this match.”
Meanwhile, two chartered flights left Lagos on Friday morning for Kigali with administrators, supporters, journalists, sponsors and other stakeholders on board to support the Supper Eagles in this all-important match.
The Nigeria Football Federation arranged the trip as part of efforts to boost the morale of the players for the World Cup qualifier.
