A strike at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport caused flight cancellations and delays on Thursday.
A quarter of the flights due to run between 7.00 a.m. (0500 GMT) and 2.00 p.m. have been cancelled, an airport spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that due to demonstrations, access to the airport was difficult.
On its website, operator, Aéroports de Paris, advised people to arrive at the airport at least three hours before international flights.
It warned on Twitter about disruptions also at the Orly airport.
Several trade unions had called for the strike, demanding salary increase of €300 ($321.49).
Laurent Dahyot of the CGT union said that many airport workers were struggling to make ends meet at the end of the month because of inflation.
According to the report, the strike could last beyond Thursday.
