A 55-year-old woman, Mrs Susan Stephen, has delivered a baby boy after 35 years of childless marriage.
Susan and Stephen Oguche, 65, got married 35 years ago.
Oguche, in his testimony on Sunday at Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel ) Lokoja, thanked God for his grace.
“We were overwhelmed with joy on delivering the baby after several years of waiting on God,’’ he told the congregation.’’
Oguche said that whatever happened was God’s wish as “medical investigations revealed no tangible reasons for our predicament.
“On the recommendations of friends and associates, we visited several medical institutions and experts within and outside Nigeria, but all to no avail.
“We joined Winners Chapel in 1995, and since then we have been feeding on the raw Word of Faith in the power and authority of God, over all things.
“We have also been serving God to the best of our strength and abilities, believing Him for change of our story.”
Oguche said that sometimes in June 2014, Pastor David Popoola, the state Pastor of Living Faith Church, Lokoja, made a declaration to them saying: “My beloved, don’t give up;
“The Lord says this time around you will succeed, and return with testimony.”
“We believed God and his prophet, and refused to give up, and today the prophetic word has found fulfillment in our lives.’’
Susan, who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), thanked God for terminating her barrenness, and for changing her name and status forever.
“Now my joy can be better imagined than described, because God has wiped away all my tears, and put laughter in my mouth,” Susan said.
