With $46m, Jennifer Lawrence is world’s highest-paid actress

American superstar Jennifer Lawrence has emerged world’s highest-paid actress for the second year in a roll, earning $46 million during the year.
Lawrence, 26, topped the list of 10 highest paid actresses worldwide released by Forbes Magazine on Tuesday.
According to Forbes, Lawrence’s impressive earnings consists largely of a profit slice from the big box office gross of $653.4 million from her final ‘Hunger Games’ and upfront fee for the forthcoming ‘Passengers’.
It said that her total earning for the year was, however, down with 11.5 per cent from $52 million she earned in 2015 when she also topped the list.
The magazine reports that Lawrence was followed on the list by Melissa McCarthy who took home $33 million in earnings during the year.
It said Veteran Hollywood actress, Julia Roberts, was also named among the world’s highest paid actresses, standing at number eight, with $12 million.
“Once again, we examined stars from around the globe, scouring Bollywood and the burgeoning Chinese cinema industry,’’ Forbes said.
The magazine added that 30 per cent of the list hailed from outside the U.S.
Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, it noted made the cut for the second consecutive year, standing at number five on the list, with $17 million earning.

Forbes said Charlize Theron, a dual citizen of South Africa and the U.S, returned to the list for the first time since 2013 at sixth position, earning $16.5 million.
It revealed that India’s Deepika Padukone, the only newcomer to the ranking, stood at the bottom of the list with $10 million earning.
The magazine said together, the world’s 10 highest-paid actresses tallied a combined $205 million between June 1, 2015 and June 1, 2016 before fees and taxes.
