Wig falls off Okagbare’s head in Diamond League Long Jump

Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okabare-Ighotegunor, has suffered an embarrassing moment at the latest Diamond league event in Norway when  an hair mishap almost ruined her Oslo Diamond League appearance.
But that was exactly the case after a wig belonging to the Olympian came off in an embarrassing way during a Long Jump event.
The incident, which was caught on live television, saw Okagbare’s artificial hair separate from her head while making a plunge.
 Despite this, she only managed to take the seventh spot among other competitors in a shameful video she won’t be looking forward to seeing anytime soon.
Okagbare, who won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, made a spectacle of herself and she will no doubt be eager to put all these behind her.
Fans, however, won’t be looking to do the same as the clip provided a great deal of entertainment, especially for online trolls.
The Olympic silver medallist from Beijing was competing in the opening round of the long jump event in Oslo when her wig fell off after completing her first attempt.
The epic hair fail caught the eye of the usually ice-cool track officials – some of whom couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
All seemed perfectly normal as the Olympic silver medallist from Beijing 2008 was making her way down the runway for her first effort of the Oslo Diamond League on Thursday evening.
She made sure she was behind the board, landed nicely and then… her wig fell off.
Maybe losing the wig permanently would have been a good call – as the cropped look is way more aerodynamic.
