20-YEAR-OLD WIFE ARRESTED FOR STABBING HER 38YEARS OLD HUSBAND TO DEATH

CP directs for thorough and clinical investigation…

The Adamawa State Police Command, On 22/7/2022 apprehended a 20-year-old housewife, for stabbing her 38-year-old husband to death.

The suspect, Caroline Barka, a resident of Angwan Tsamiya, Madagali Local Government Area engaged her deceased in a fight following a misunderstanding over his attitude of drunkness. Her husband came back home drunk and fell down on their one-year-old baby on bed.

Provoked by his negligence and lack of maintenance generally, the suspect engaged in fighting him and as a result of which, she stabbed him with a sharp knife. The deceased was rushed to Government Hospital before he was subsequently confirmed dead by a Medical Doctor.
The suspect had since been arrested and undergoing investigation in the State CID in line with the directive of the Command CP, S.K. Akande.
While commending the relatives of the suspect in promptly reporting the incident to the Police, CP S.K. Akande assures the family and relations of the deceased that justice will be done and as soon as investigation is concluded, the suspect will properly be prosecuted.
