A top security expert, Mr. Simon Udie, has identified various causes of insecurity challenges facing the country at the present point in time.

Speaking as Guest Speaker at the annual founder’s day lecture, commemorating the establishment of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, on Wednesday, titled ” Role of church in tackling security challenges “, Udie, amongst others, identified poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, ignorance, poor or bad leadership/ governance, family disintegration etc.as notable causes.

Udie stressed that security issues should wholeheartedly be of concern to every Nigerian irrespective of ethnic, religious, political and tribal affinities.

He charged the church and community leaders in attendance to emulate Jesus Christ who tasked his followers to be involved in activities that would promote peace, progress and tranquillity in the community (Mt.28:18 – 20).
His words: “It is the duty of church and community leaders to be involved in measures and activities that will bring about peace, tranquillity, togetherness and oneness”.

He urged the leaders to be vigilant, conscious and sensitive to happenings and occurences in their environment.

Udie further urged them to control environmental pollution.

Also speaking at the lecture, a community leader, Alhaji Oladapo Olaleye, commended the Guest Speaker, pointing out that the lecture was very rich, instructive and educative.

The Chairman of Noble Community Development Association ( CDA), Alhaji Olamilekan Badmus, similarly commended the Guest speaker. He alluded to the fact that security issues should be every person’s business.

Badmus called for total co-operation of all and sundry in the area of raising fund for the welfare of security guards.

Top executive members of Noble CDA as well as Central Loburo CDA, ministers and Congregational members of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries attended the lecture.
