Why Bayelsans should reelect me, by Dickson

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has described the prevailing peace and stability in the state as a major milestone and paradigm shift instituted by the restoration administration to change the trajectory of the state.
Dickson stated this while addressing the 2015 Batch ‘B’ corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Kaiama, in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.
He noted that the NYSC programme has contributed immensely to the development and integration of the youths of the Nigerian society, pointing out that, as future leaders, they are precious to their families and the nation.
Wishing the corps members well during their period of service in the state, he disclosed that, the facilities at the new NYSC orientation camp are world class, stressing that, the facility will be put to use very soon.

Responding to some of the demands of the State Director of the NYSC, Governor Dickson announced the procurement of life-jackets for the corps members, who might be posted to the riverine areas of the State.

In his words: “I want to congratulate you on your successful orientation and completion of your studies. You should not lose faith in Nigeria, because as future leaders, you are precious to your families and the nation. We as a government; we are doing everything possible to give you a brighter future.

As you serve in your various capacities, remember that service to humanity is service to God. I wish you well in your one year of service to Bayelsa State, which is known to be friendly and hospitable people”

In his opening remarks, State Director of the NYSC, Sir Ekeocha Anthony, lauded Governor Dickson for the security of corps members, disclosing that, the state has 1,651 corps members for the 2015 Batch ‘B’ orientation camp.

The NYSC state director assured Governor Dickson of the Scheme’s commitment to contribute to the development of the state, while appealing for the speedy completion the new NYSC orientation camp, provision of utility vehicles, life-jackets, meal subsidy and secretariat building in Yenagoa.
