Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, was on Monday attacked by some policemen on his way to the House of Assembly in Port Harcourt.
The development has heightened tension in the South-South state as it is believed former Governor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, is behind the attempt to impeach the governor just after five months in office.
Some supporters with the governor on the way to the Assembly were heard shouting: “You want to kill the governor, you want to kill the Governor of Rivers State, you are attacking the governor of Rivers State, Rivers Governor under attack”.
