The Passing of Media Juggernaut

With a heavy heart but total submission to the will of God and appreciation for a most remarkable life, we announce the passing to higher glory of our father and grandfather, Pastor Gbolabo Ogunsanwo, at 5.30am today (Friday).

Media imperisario Gbolabo Ogunsanwo was a graduate of English University of Lagos.
During his distinguished career, he was simultaneously Editor of Sunday Times and Acting Editor of Daily Times.
Under his watch, the Sunday Times recorded weekly circulation of almost a million copies while the Daily Times peaked at 950,000 copies.

Ogunsanwo was an ebullient and flamboyant columnist whose writings were colourful, bold, unapologetic and hugely Intellectual.
After retiring from the Daily Times Conglomerate, he established the now rested *New Nation* magazine.

Regarded as one of the best dressed journalists of his era, Gbolabo was also reputed for his ribcracking humour.
His friends called him Humour Merchant.
He will be best remembered for his column ‘Life and Times with Gbolabo Ogunsanwo’ and many great writings amongst which is his caption during the Dabo and Tarka tango “if you Tarka me I will Daboh you”.

Burial arrangements will be communion soonest

Survived by Children, grand children, brother & sisters.
