Varsity don admonishes parents on proper upbringing of children, as Rev. Fr. Odigbo buries mother

The Dean, Faculty of Education, Godfrey Okoye University, Thinkers Corner, Enugu, Professor (Mrs) Felicia Ene, has stressed the need for parents to give their children good upbringing, train them in school to become useful to themselves and the society.
Professor Ene gave the advice during the burial of her mother, Chief Mrs Cecilia Odigbo (Nne di Ebube) on Friday at AmofiaAgu, Affa in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
She said that the importance of education cannot be over emphasised.
Professor Ene, who spoke about her late mother, said she knew the importance of education and trained all her eight children in school to become graduates.

She said her mother was steadfast, hard-working, resilience, humble. “The entire community can bear witness of her large heart, her benevolence and her accountability.”
According to her, their mother had eight children, all graduates, married with children, except the Priest, Reverend Fr. Odigbo.
She said their late mother left them with the virtues of hard work, resilience, charity, steadfastness, accountability, team spirit, prayerfulness, nobility, friendship, commitment to duty and large heart.”

Professor Ene, who was the first child of the deceased, added that late Francis Emehelu of Ogo village once said to their mother:,” Cecilia, you are the Primus interpreted, the greatest of our set”.
Late mama Odigbo received many awards including the “Ezinne of St. Bridget’s Enugu, Nne Okwukwe of AmofiaAgu and Nne di Ebube1 of Enugu Diocese”, Ene said.
Mama Odigbo was survived by Professor Felicia Ene, Dr. Paul Odigbo, Lolo Dr. Rachel Aneke, Evangelist Adline Chimezie, Rev. Fr. Dr. Okechukwu Mathias Odigbo, Christian Odigbo, sons and daughters -in-law, 27 grand children, five great grand children and numerous relations.
Dignitaries at the event included Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State represented by the Deputy Governor, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo, legislators, Clergymen, Government officials and traditional rulers, among others.
