The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Benue State, has denied a claim posted on the social media that it had commenced the sale of form for the 2015 academic session.
This is contained in a statement on Saturday by the university’s spokesman, Mr Isaac Ameh, in Abuja.
The statement stated that the posting on social media for the sale was done by scammers and should be ignored by the public.
It stated that the university would announce the sale of its forms when it was ready through credible media houses and other forms of information dissemination.
“The attention of the university has been drawn to calls for the purchase of forms in the social media by media scammers trying to deceive the unsuspecting public. The management, therefore, inform the general public to disregard such information.
“The university authority will formally advertise for its admission through proper channels when arrangements for academic activities are put together.
“However, it must be stated that anybody that transacts business with such group or individual does that at his/her own risk,’’ the statement added.
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Benue was a new university approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan in May, 2015.
The university officially took off in June, 2015 and plans to commence pre-science programme in October, 2015.
