Unemployment: NGO provides N10m collateral, interest-free grant, repayable in 10 years

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Bethany Human Development Centre, headed by its National Coordinator. Pastor Adedayo Adewoyin, has opened a window of employment opportunity for thousands of potential South West investors through N10 million interest, collateral-free grant, to be paid back in 10 years.
Adewoyin disclosed this on Wednesday at the NTC Hall, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, where about 2,000 participants converged at a seminar organised by the NGO in conjunction with Lordmark Micro Finance Bank.
He said that the grant will be sourced through the Social Exchange Market under the supervision of Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), for the implementation of ‘Bottom-Up’ strategy of the World Bank project.
Underscoring the veracity of the grant, the Principal Director of Lordmark Micro Finance Bank, Dr. Akin Taylor, said that Nigeria was accessing $600 million grant yearly from the United States (U.S.) “and so, N10 million revolving grant from the Social Exchange Market for individuals is not a big deal”.
“You are here to access the grant and I can assure you that you are going to have it. Forget about the money not being accessed. Nigeria herself has got N10trn to be paid back in 40 years. This grant is to enlarge the business coast of Nigerians”, he said.
The National Coordinator who urged the participants to be honest, sincere and committed to the project, disclosed that disbursement of the grant would commence by April this year as soon as the desgnated commercial banks submit their records to the Social Exchange Market, which will source the money.
According to him. “Unemployment thrives because many people do not establish jobs. Former President Goodluck Jonathan established the Development Bank of Nigeria in 2015, but it could not function due to change of government. President Muhammadu Buhari registered it in 2017 through Mrs Kemi Adeosun, the Minister of Finance. 
“The DBN will establish business for people without collateral. After 18 months, re-payment start on instalmental basis till the term of 10 years. If the grant collected is settled before then, it can be wound up and given over to another person to also benefit. It is your business and so you don’t need to pay back until 10 years. The window of opportunity, he said was open to persons from age 16 to 70 and above as such individual’s health can sustain them”, he said.
In his contribution, the Consultant to Bethany Centre, Solomon Oladipo, said that the grant had been accessed in the northern parts of Nigeria, but just introduced in the South West about a year ago “to empower the youths and reduce unemployment rate in the country. He urged as many people as possible to embrace the project which ha said was capable of turning them to millionaires in few years to come if they could utilise the opportunity judiciously.
