Ugwuanyi kicks-off eighth Emenite/Enugu Ladies Golf Open Championship

The eighth Emenite/Enugu Ladies Golf Open Championship (a national invent) has kicked- off in Enugu.
Declaring the event open at the Golf Event Center, Sports club, Enugu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who was represented by his deputy, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo, emphasised the need for sporting activities
She thanked the organisers for putting together the event.
The Deputy Governor expressed the hope that the South East zone will win the championship.
Speaking, President of Ladies Golfers of Nigeria, Susan Cole Kotas, said that the event was a national event that drew Golfers from various states of the country. She thanked all those who planned the event and wished the participants a success.

Present at the event were the Zonal president, East, Diserr Leghomo, past president of Lady Golfers Association of Nigeria, Princess Joyce Nule, Past Secretary, L.G.A.N, Sumbo Oshile, Lady Captain Enugu, Dr Ada Ikehi, Past Lady Captains of the club, Barrister Ethel Ayaji, Dr Amaka Okoye, Chairman of the Enugu State College of Education(Technical), Enugu, Ambassador Fidelia Njeze, male Golfers among others
Highlight of the event was the Tee off shots by the Deputy Governor , Ezeilo, Ambassador Fidelia Njeze, Ethel Ayaji and Barrister Nwosu, among others.
The four days event will end on Sunday.
