European football is bracing for a high-profile clash as Paris Saint-Germain hosts Barcelona at the Parc des Princes—a match featuring two of the top contenders for this season’s title.
Barcelona enters this match undefeated so far this season, boasting the best goal-scoring record in La Liga—and one of the best in all of Europe—along with excellent form. This suggests that the match will be far from easy for the reigning champions, Paris Saint-Germain, especially given that the French giants will be dealing with a few absences.
As for this encounter, it seems that Luis Enrique holds a different view regarding the match between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the league phase—contrary to the media, which has dubbed it an “early final,” Enrique rejects this characterization and offers a different perspective.
Luis Enrique has pushed back at the suggestion that PSG’s clash with Barcelona amounts to an “early final.”
“No! This isn’t a final too soon.”
The Spaniard accepts that PSG and Barcelona rank among the Champions League favourites, but he maintains that plenty of other sides are in the running.
“It’s clear that we’re two favourite teams, but there are more teams that can win the competition.”
During the pre-match press conference, Luis Enrique was asked about facing Lamine Yamal in this challenging encounter.
He acknowledged that dealing with Yamal would not be easy for his team, emphasising the need to maintain possession as much as possible and deny the ball to Barcelona, as Yamal represents a key strength for the Catalan side.
