Gov. Uba Sani has condoles with the family of  veteran actor, Usman Baba Pategi popularly known by ”Samanja Mazan Fama” who died at the age of 84.
The condolence is contained in a statement by Sani’s Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad  Shehu, in Kaduna on Monday.

The governor said that he received the sad news of the passing of the veteran action with shock. Sani said the nation was captivated by his talents as an actor in the 1980s.

”Through the role of Samanja in the defunct NTA drama series depicting the lifestyle of soldiers in the barracks, he became a familiar and beloved face in millions of homes,” he said.

The governor prayed Allah (SWT) to grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaus and forgive his sins.

Born in 1942 to the Royal Pategi Family, he served in the Nigerian Army and in the old Northern Broadcasting Corporation, where he honed his skills as an actor, writer and producer.

Samanja was buried in Kaduna according to Islamic injection.
Thousands of sympathizers have continued to troop to the residence of Kaduna-based TV series actor
