Turkey will reinstate some 6,000 teachers who were suspended in recent months by decree, under the country’s sweeping state-of-emergency laws.
According to a key teachers’ union citing letters dispatched to the local governor’s offices, plans for the reinstatement has been concluded.
The teachers were suspended after involvement in protests and union activities, according to the Egitim-Sen union, which also calls for its remaining members to be returned to their posts.
