Tottenham move perfect for me, says Dele Alli

Dele Alli is looking forward to getting his Tottenham career started and feels it will be good for him to work under Mauricio Pochettino.
The exciting 19-year-old signed for Spurs in February but was immediately loaned back to the MK Dons after the £5m deal was completed.
Alli’s fine form has continued since the move as he looks to help guide his club into the Sky Bet Championship, and further reward came on Sunday when he was named Football League Young Player of the Year.
When asked about his impending move to North London, Alli said: “When you go, you don’t want a manager that’s not going to have any trust in young players.
“I think with him (Pochettino), you can see already that he has a lot of faith in youngsters and I think as a young player, you need that, just for confidence in yourself. You need a manager that believes in you and shows that he believes in you by playing you.
“For a few years now, there have been rumours of me going places. I’ve been speaking to my agent to see what it is all about. Obviously the last year really it has picked up a bit and there has been a lot more speculation about me going other places.
“In this transfer window, towards the end, it was a bit of a rollercoaster, to be fair. When it came that I could come to Tottenham, obviously I had a look and I spoke to my agent.
“We had to think about the manager and all the pros and cons about it. We couldn’t think of anything wrong, really, about it – it is the perfect club for me, hopefully. I am just going to do the best I can.”
Alli hopes to repay MK Dons boss, Karl Robinson, by helping them to promotion – they sit third with three games remaining, but are only one point behind Preston in second.
“While I am at MK, I am just going to be focused on them, right until the end of the season,” he added. “To get promotion would be the perfect ending to a fairytale, really.
“Obviously, being from MK and playing for MK my whole life, to get us promoted would be a dream come true.”
Meanwhile, Alli has been named the Football League Young Player of the Year in England.
The award is for players in all cadre of the football league in England.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who is on loan to MK Dons, is the League One club’s top scorer with 16 goals.
He expressed his happiness and surprise on the award.
“I am so happy winning this award. It is a surprise to me. I thank my team mates for their support. Coach Karl Robinson has done a lot to my career. He has faith in me, trust me, I can’t thank him enough,” Alli said.
He lost the League One Player of the Year Award to Joe Gardner of Bristol City.
Meanwhile, former Nigerian international, Danny Shittu, was named the PFA player in the community for the year.
The award was designed to recognise players who are involved in charity in community where their clubs are located.
The Millwall defender emerged the winner ahead of Nigerian duo of Reading FC’s Hope Akpan and Leyton Orient’s Elliot Omozuzi.
Danny Shittu said he was motivated to help the needy and give hopeless people hope and direction because they listen to players and he knows what it means to face hardship.
