‎ President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Mrs Leila Fowler, a distinguished Lawyer, educationist, and founder of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls.

‎The president’s message was conveyed in a statement issued by Presidential spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Monday in Abuja.

‎Chief Fowler, the Yeye Mofin of Lagos and mother of ex-Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Chairman, Babatunde Fowler, passed away at the age of 92.

‎Tinubu described her death as a monumental loss to her family, community, and the nation, especially the education sector where she made a lasting mark.

‎”Through establishing the Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls, the late Mrs Fowler laid the foundation for academic excellence, nurturing generations of young women and empowering them to reach their fullest potential.

‎”Her legacy lives on in the thousands of lives she transformed. The nation is grateful for her remarkable impact. She will be fondly engraved in our minds,”he said.

‎The president extended his condolences to the Fowler family, the college community, friends, associates, and the people of Lagos State.

‎He prayed for God’s comfort for all who mourn her and for the eternal repose of her soul.
