Dachung Bagos (Rep, PDP-Plateau) has condemned killing of four persons at a mining site in Dong community of Jos North Local Government Area.
Bagos, representing Jos South and Jos East Federal Constituency, condemned the killing in a statement by his media aide, Mr Yakubu Danja, on Sunday in Jos.
Gunmen, on Saturday, killed three members of a family and one other person and injured another at a mining site in Dong.
The three deceased members of a family were identified as James Danboyi, 30, Moses Danboyi, 24 and Livinus Danboyi, 19.
They were residents of Hwolshe community in Jos South Local Government Area.
The lawmaker described the incident as “one too many”, and called on security agencies to fish out the killers and make them to face the full wrath of the law.
Bagos condoled with the families of deceased, and promised to continue to speak out on the safety of the constituents.
“I am not happy at the daily killings within and around my constituency.
“I want to state emphatically that I will continue to talk about these callous attitudes of these criminals among us until they get rid of them totally.
“I want to call on government at all levels to charge security agencies to, as a matter of urgency, tackle this menace more seriously,” he said.
The lawmaker frowned at the manner small arms found their ways into the country, and called on security agencies to tackle it.
He advised his constituents to be more vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
