Prince William and wife Kate have introduced their new son to the world as the public got its first glimpse of the future king of England.
The Duchess of Cambridge cradled their one-day-old boy in her arms as she and her husband walked down the steps of the Lindo Wing at London’s St Mary’s Hospital.
William told the waiting media that his child has “a good pair of lungs”, was a “big boy and quite heavy” and the couple were working on a name.
He said he and Kate were “having a proper chance to catch up” with their child and it was a “very emotional” and “very special” time.
They spoke to reporters and then went back inside to put the youngster in a car seat.
The couple then came outside for a second time and William placed the one-day-old boy in a vehicle.
However, a source told British broadcast channel, Sky News, that the name of the child will not be announced tonight.
