Tanker loaded with PMS capsizes on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway

The Sango-Ota Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said that a danger was averted on Friday as a tanker loaded with fuel capsised on Iyana-Ilogbo Area, Ogun State.
Mr Adekunle Oguntoyinbo, the Unit Commander of FRSC, said in Ota that the accident happened between 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.
Oguntoyinbo said that the tanker, laden with petrol, was coming from Lagos to Abeokuta and lost control at Iyana-Ilogbo, Old Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, due bad road and in the process, split its content on the road.
The unit commander, however, said that no life was lost in the accident.
“Our officers and other sister agencies were on ground to control traffic and ensure sanity as well as prevent touts from scooping the fuel.’’
Oguntoyinbo appealed to motorists to be patient and cooperate with the traffic agencies to bring the situation under control.
