tambuwal_pays_mimiko_condolence_visitThe Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, has condoled with Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, on the plane crash which killed some officials of the state.

Tambuwal accompanied by Sen. George Akume, Rep. Yemi Arokodare and Kashim Imam, commiserated with Mimiko in Akure on Friday .

He described the death of Mr Deji Falae, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism and son of Chief Olu Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, as a national tragedy.

The speaker said the house received the news of the incident with a great shock as it was about to commence the proceedings of the day.

Tambuwal said the late Falae sent a text message to him on Sept. 29 on how to move Nigeria forward, adding that words alone could express what happened on that fateful day.

The text message reads: “my brother I trust you and your family are well. I implore you to use your best endeavours to solve the current crisis rocking your party and Nigeria as a whole.

“History will not be kind to our generation if we don’t make the success of Nigerian projects. May the almighty God guide you.’’

He said that the late Falae’s message was received Sept. 29 at 10.25 am.

Responding, Mimiko described the visit as precious and wonderful, noting that “it is an understatement to say that the incident is a major shock.”

Mimiko thanked the leadership and members of the house for their concern over the plight of the people of the state.
