Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha-Bida, the Chairman, New Niger Development Project (NNDP) says the ‘2024 Sun Governor of the Year Award in Agriculture’ bestowed on Gov. Mohammed Umaru-Bago is a testament to his tireless efforts and commitment to transforming the state.

Commenting on the prestigious award on Tuesday in Minna, he said that Umaru-Bago’s visionary leadership and people-oriented approach have not gone unnoticed, saying, ” this is well deserved.”

Mustapha-Bida, who is also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe said,”This prestigious award is a testament to his outstanding socio-economic programmes.

“They have transformed Niger”s narrative, particularly in agricultural mechanization, food security, and infrastructure development.

” Bago’s dedication to revitalising agriculture as a key pillar of economic growth and food security has earned him recognition, not just from The Sun, but from the people of Niger and Nigeria at large.”

According to Mustapha-Bida, Bago has even dedicated his award to all farmers in Nigeria, showcasing his commitment to the agricultural sector and its stakeholders.

He added,”Once again, congratulations to Gov. Bago on this well-deserved award.
