Troubled English Premiership League side, Sunderland, will not sign Nigeria’s forward, Chinedu Obasi, because he could not prove his fitness.
Obasi, who is a free agent after he was released by German Bundesliga side, Schalke 04, has been training with Sunderland with the hope of signing a deal.
According to Mailonline, Sunderland have passed on a chance to sign Obasi after he failed to prove his fitness while they need a player who could walk straight into the team.
The Nigerian international, who holds a German passport, will now seek other options.
