Suit against elders: Lagos PDP NASS Candidates Forum disowns Aeroland

There have been series of developments emanating from the lingering and protracted fracas among some of our party members, ensuing from the various accusations and counter – accusations over anti-party activities and mismanagement of elections funds and tussle for the control of the party in the state.

We find it most unfortunate that some members of our party instituted a lawsuit against the party leadership at the National and State, and the Forum of Local Government Chairmen of the Party in Lagos State on allegations of an alleged engagement in anti-parties activities during the conduct of the 2023 general elections in Lagos state.

We, the members of the aforementioned named body hereby disassociate and distance ourselves completely and outrightly from the frivolous lawsuits instituted against the leadership and organs of our party both at the National and Lagos State. We see it as being mischievous and embarrassing in all its entirety. We as a respectable group who stood as National Assembly Candidates in the 2023 general elections undoubtedly should know better hereby say unequivocally that we are not part of the PLAINTIFFS, we know nothing about the lawsuits and we will never be part of such act that will bring disrepute to respectable leaders and organs of our party.

Most especially at this time that the National body has kick-started a healing and reconciliatory process for all members across board.

The mischief and self serving motives from a group of individuals seem to be borne out of ego tripping. It is just a distraction deliberately caused by some individuals in the party who are known to create more trouble to solve another.

We are committed to the constitution of the party that gives room to using internal mechanism in handling party affairs in CHAPTER 10, (section 57′ 1 to 7) (section 58′ “1” a to m) (section 59′ 1 to 5) (section 60′ 1 to 4) and (section 61′ 1 & 2*).

We have high regards for the leadership of our party which is also mutual to foster peace, reconciliation and hope for the future of our great party.

We are aware that there were challenges to the build up of 2023 general elections and we can only learn from the experience, make amends and work towards a better and most fruitful outing in the future. We all know that success is not final, neither is failure fatal but the courage to continue is what counts.

We, the PDP National Assembly candidates Forum, Lagos State are committed to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and compliance with the dictates of our Party’s Constitution as only such can guarantee enabling and conducive atmosphere for our party to thrive and be successful.

We, therefore, urge all party faithful to do away with any divisive attempts within the Party in Lagos State

Let us wake up and avoid being used and dumped as usual, PDP in Lagos State shall be great again!!

Our Forum also want to use this opportunity to tell the Federal Government to initiate policies that will alleviate the sufferings of Nigeria. The party at the centre has only brought pain to Nigerians instead of succour. We feel your pains Nigerians and we are with you in all these. We are hopeful that come 2027, the Egyptians you saw today, you shall see them no more as we shall sail to the promise land under the noble umbrella of the People’s truly party.
Wish our Christian and Muslim faithful Happy Easter and Ramadan Kareem.
God bless PDP Lagos State, God bless PDP nationwide and God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Signed
PDP National Assembly Candidates Forum Lagos State.
