Subscribers elated as Glo repackages GloMpaper, Mobile Tutor

Integrated telecommunications service provider, Globacom, has repackaged its unique offerings on the Value Added Services (VAS) platforms in voice, web, text and video channels to delight subscribers across various age brackets.
Some of the rejuvenated VAS products include Glo Mpaper, Glo Lifestyle Update, Voice Lifestyle Update, Soccer on Voice, Image Store, Glo Mobile School, Glo Mobile Tutor and Genie Voice which can be received as either SMS, Voice, Web or Video.
According to Globacom’s Regional Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Ashok Israni, the products were specially revitalised to resonate with the youth market and increase the network’s dynamism and dexterity.
“Our Value Added Services are the best in the industry, and Nigerians should sign on to the Globacom network to stay connected for limitless access to advanced bouquet of Value Added Services whilst relishing the greener pasture experience powered by our underground fibre optic cable,” Ashok noted.
He stated that five national newspapers namely, Vanguard, Nation, Nigerian Tribune, Daily Times and Business Day were available on the Glo Mpaper which can be accessed as SMS by dialing *335# to receive the latest global news on the go daily at any time.
He also announced the Thisday Newspaper Alert, which is an exclusive news alert service that can be accessed by sending “menu” to “31266” to get news, sports, lifestyle and entertainment news as text, web or video.
Other VAS products available on the SMS platform are the Glo Lifestyle Update which can be accessed by sending “SUB” to 4040 at N100 a month to get lifestyle tips in one tidy package; the Voice Lifestyle Update which gives various lifestyle updates on the go at N50 a week by texting “SUB” to 4022 and Soccer on Voice which allows subscribers to get latest football news and score update of major matches live by sending “SUB” to 30181 at N50 for two weeks.
In pedagogy, the Glo Mobile School which is an interactive SMS platform for e-learning will be available when a subscriber sends “SUB” to a shortcode 33188 at N50 a week while Glo Mobile Tutor, a pocket friendly curriculum- based learning aid can be received by texting “Eduw” to 4244 at N75 a week.
Glo subscribers interested in catching fun with Genie Voice where they can choose and call with different voice characters should send “sub” to 4444 at N25 a week to subscribe, while the youth and the young-at-heart interested in downloading great images and cool games on the go should send “image” to 6611 to play various games at N20 daily.
