Alhaji Isah Madorawa, a Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, has warned All Progressive Congress (APC) defectors and other supporters to be wary of all electoral fraud and violence.

Madorawa gave the advice when he received dozens of defectors from the APC to PDP in Raha, Dingyadi and Badawa communities in Bodinga Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.

He urged party supporters to consider their movement as a journey of hope that would help toward transforming the state and Nigeria to better society in recognition of PDP manifestos and planned policies in the country.

He urged the electorate to vote PDP candidates at all levels in the coming Feb. 25 and March 11 general elections,  and be wary of all electoral fraud capable of disrupting the system.

Madorawa described PDP as an organized party that can redeem Nigerians from suffering and enhance social and economic wellbeing of citizens.

Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, the media aide to the PDP National Chairman and member of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, congratulated the defectors for joining the party.

Dingyadi urged them to work along with party loyalists to ensure maximum unity and political support for the party’s victory in coming elections.

Responding on behalf of the defectors, Malam Dansule Abubakar, commended the good leadership of PDP leaders in Bodinga local government and their kindness to them despite being from different parties.

Abubakar explained that they left APC because of peddled confusion, distrust, misguidance and misunderstanding among members in the communities.

He lauded PDP efforts on discouraging all forms of violence, breeding thuggery and other misleading actions by youths, and creating trouble and injustice in the state.

According to him, defected with Alhaji Abubakar Ma’aji and Alhaji Umar Shehu Sakatare along with about 150 others in the communities.

The Chairman of the PDP in Bodinga Local Government, Alhaji Abubakar Saidu-Sifawa, and Council Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Danmalikin-Danchadi, promised them fairness and support.

Other PDP stalwarts in attendance were the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Magaji; Alhaji Umar Manuga, Alhaji Haliru-Sifawa, Alhaji Chika Bodinga and Alhaji Bafashi Dabaga, among others.
