
African Rapper Number One, MI, confirmed his appellation as ‘microphone magician’ when he drove his new 2014 Bentley with customized plate number “CHM” onto the stage to put up an unlimited performance at the Glo Slide & Bounce Concert which held on Saturday and ended at five am on Sunday morning at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
It was a night in which all the eleven acts exceeded expectations with their stellar displays of creativity, stagecraftry and lyrical compositions that got attendees praising the national carrier, Globacom, to high heavens for its robust support for home grown entertainment, sports and youth related endeavours.
Mr. Sexy, Lynxxx, surprised the audience with a cameo appearance by Banky W, who did a collarbo with him during his slot to increase attendees’ joy while PSquare dealt personally with Lagosians who shouted PSquare, PSquare!to ask for more songs. The Labania crooner, Flavour, spiced up the concert with his special attention to women and their endowments.
Naeto C, Omawumi,Waje,Burna Boy,Chee, Lagbaja and Bez also thrilled the crowd at the concert adjudged as the best in recent times in Lagos by guests including Edo State Commissioner for Information,Mr Louis Odion, Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Kayode Opeifa the Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon Mofe Pirah and the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon Disun Holloway.
Speaking in an interview, the Chairman of BISCOM Media, Prince Bisi Olatilo described all the artistes that performed at the concert as “phenomenally gifted” as they ensured that everybody had a very good time and commended Globacom for its numerous giant strides in the telecommunication industry.
Also speaking at the event, the mother of Globacom’s Youth Ambassador, Jay Kolo, 43-year old, Mrs. Nkiruka Elujiofor thanked Globacom for the way it has been bringing out people from obscurity to limelight and prayed for more blessings for the company, adding that “ I am very proud of my son. I give God all the glory and I thank Globacom for this great, unmerited honour done to my son”.
The train of the Glo Slide & Bounce Concert would berth at its final destination at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja for an encore in the Federal Capital Territory on Sunday.
