The Monday sit-at-home is still being observed in most parts of the South East states of Nigeria, despite its suspension order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In Enugu metropolis, a large number of private, public and missionary schools were closed, while some schools partially opened had handful of students in the school.
Shops at major markets did not open, though few traders were seen selling along the roads. Few town-service commercial buses and tricycles operated in some areas of the metropolis.
Entrances of Ogbete Main Market, Gariki Market, Abakpa Market and Aria Market were opened but traders still closed their shops.
Banks within the Enugu metropolis did not open for businesses.
Transport companies, especially inter state ones did not open too.
