Siasia invites Sokari, four others for Congo

Head Coach of the U-23 National Team, Samson Siasia, has invited five more players to the team’s camp ahead of the return leg of the African U-23 Championship final qualifying fixture against Congo.
According to Siasia, the invited players were invited to add bite to the team’s attack and solidify the defence as the team intensifies preparations for the potentially -explosive return leg in Pointe Noire on Sunday, August 2.
The invited players are‎ overseas -based Aminu Umar and Abdullahi Shehu, Semiu Liadi of Warri Wolves FC, Ndifreke Effiong of Abia Warriors and Flying Eagles’ midfielder Kingsley Sokari.
The home -based professionals are expected to report to camp immediately while those based overseas are expected in camp by this weekend.
Meanwhile, Siasia has sounded a note of warning to all players given permission to travel after the team’s first leg game against Congo in Port Harcourt to report unfailingly to camp on Wednesday or be axed.
