Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has told Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State that he (Wike) does not have power to crush anybody.
Reacting to the governor’s threat at Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the oil-bearing state on Saturday to crush anyone working with Secondus in the build up to the 2023 general elections, Secondus said “only God can crush”.
It is generally believed that Wike was instrumental to the removal of Secondus as chairman.

It is also believed that Secondus is mobilising for the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Wike, who lost the presidential ticket of the party to Atiku in May, has been threatening anybody working for Atiku.
On Saturday at Omagwa, Wike threatened to crush anyone working with Secondus.
He lamented that influential politicians who claimed to be with him have shifted loyalty to his rivals.

The governor threatened: “We will take every might we have, we will even leave our enemy and finish you first.
“So all of you going to Abuja to hold meetings with our enemies in the state, I’m going to finish you to the last.”
In his reaction, Secondus, in a statement by his media office, reminded Wike that he would not be in power till eternity.
He condemned Wike’s “disdainful threat that he will crush anybody who works with him (Secondus) in support of the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.”
“Wike, you cannot crush anybody, I cannot fight or join issues with you, only God can crush. No condition is permanent and nobody can become Governor of a state or President of this country forever”.
