Chinese Fire Fighters on Tuesday said wildfires that killed 23 people in Russia have crossed the Chinese border into Inner Mongolia.
The agency said that the wildfires swept into China on Monday. No casualties have been reported.
“The wildfires raged through 30 residential houses and 55 cowshed, and burned vehicles and machinery of more than 50 families and a large amount of fodder in Ergune City,’’ local firefighters said.
The estimated economic loss is about 20 million Yuan, approximately $3.2 million.
Report says over 660 fire fighters are battling the wildfires.
